About Card Ministry
Caring and Connecting through Card Ministry
On occasion you see something special appear as you dig through the mail - a handwritten note or card that you can hold in your hand! These certainly stand out amongst the flyers and bills that we so often receive. Handwritten cards are a special way to reach out to others, especially at a time when we long for more opportunities to be in community with our brothers and sisters in Christ.
We have been inspired by many disciples at CLC who have been intentional about sending notes and cards to lift people up, encourage them, or simply let them know they have been thinking about them. We would like to encourage others to join in and be a blessing to others in this way.
Here are various ways in which you can be a part of CLC’s Card Ministry:
- Write – each week let someone know they are cared for by sharing encouraging words.
- Make cards – perhaps you have a creative side and would like to share it in the way of card making.
- Draw a picture – children may especially like to know they have brightened someone’s day with their donated artwork.
- Donate cards and/or stamps – they will not go to waste.
